Chamber Members:

Half-way through the week and we’ve had a lot of information to read over already with Phase 4 guidelines and grant programs. Today is going to be a light update covering a few video conference opportunities and a little more.

School Guidelines

A lot of discussion seems to be going around regarding return to school in August. Yesterday we shared some of the information from the Governor. Here is the link to the full 60+ page report: https://assets.documentcloud.org/documents/6955197/Part-3-Transition-Planning-Phase-4.pdf

It is attached as a PDF document to this message as well.

Business Interruption Grant Clarification

After delaying the opening of the application from Monday to Tuesday and then from Tuesday to Friday, we learned that the BIG program will basically apply to restaurants/bars, salons/barbers, and gyms/fitness centers in the first round of funding. In addition to these, other businesses can apply but only if they fall into a zip code affected by the recent civil unrest of which none of our local zip codes apply. We are working with DCEO to urge and find out when the next round of funding may open and to expand the list of eligible businesses.

For those that do fall into these three categories, make sure you have all of the information needed to apply. You can find of the details here: https://www2.illinois.gov/dceo/SmallBizAssistance/Pages/C19DisadvantagedBusGrants.aspx
