Chamber members are encouraged to advertise in our "Chamber Stuff" mailing, which goes out each month to all Chamber members. The cost to insert a flyer in our mailing is $175 ($150 for charitable organizations). You must deliver 1,900 copies of your flyer to the Chamber office by the 20th of the month (along with payment). The flyer may be double-sided, postcard, tri-fold, etc., but only one page. (Extra charges will apply for more than one sheet). CITY OF JOLIET CANDIDATES FORUM

Please join the Chamber members on Wednesday, March 25th, 11:30 a.m. for a Candidates Forum at the Jacob Henry Mansion Estate - Victorian Ballroom, 15 S. Richard Street, Joliet. All candidates running for Joliet City offices have been invited to speak. Cost to attend is $35 per person, and reservations are required by Monday, March 23rd.

SPRINGFIELD DRIVE DOWN

The Chamber is planning our annual Springfield Drive-Down for Tuesday & Wednesday, May 5-6, 2015. Our drive-down will begin with a luncheon, followed by a briefing, legislative meetings, reception and dinner. Cost to attend is $135.00 per person - this includes everything EXCEPT YOUR HOTEL RESERVATIONS. You are responsible for making your hotel reservations. Invitations have been mailed to all members. MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

Mark Hornung has been with Edward Jones since March of 2009. Prior to opening his office, he worked with area small businesses in the payroll and HR industry since 1996.

Edward Jones is truly a unique opportunity. As long as you are running an ethical, legal and profitable office, Edward Jones lets you decide your best path to your success. While the main focus will always be to be the first choice for the serious, long-term investor, I am now focusing much of my attention on the retirement plan industry.

Having spent over thirteen years working with small/mid-sized businesses, I saw back then, what I considered an under served opportunity to provide some assistance. This applies to both the employer and the employee. People need to take advantage of their employer's retirement plan now more than ever, so they need education and assistance in an effort to make the best decisions, all through their working years and beyond. For the business owner, they cannot, in an effort to compete for the best talent, forego offering some type of a retirement plan. Because small business owners wear multiple hats, they rely on my assistance, so they can focus their attention on the more profitable areas of their business.

I have been a member of the Joliet Chamber of Commerce for most of my time in this area since 1998 and am currently a member of the Chamber's Ambassador team. I am Lt. Governor of my Kiwanis division for 2015-16 and a member of the Joliet Club. I am also president of the providence Catholic High School Men's Club through May.

Silver Cross Hospital earns National Accreditation from the Commission on Cancer. The Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons has granted a three-year accreditation to the Cancer program at Silver Cross Hospital.

In order to maintain and receive accreditation, facilities must ensure its patients have access to the full scope of services required to diagnose, treat, rehabilitate and support patients with cancer and their families. Facilities also go through continuous evaluation to reaffirm its commitment of the program to provide quality cancer care.
