APRIL MEMBER LUNCHEON
The April member luncheon will take place on Friday, April 29, 11:30 a.m. @ Mistwood Golf Club, located at 1700 W. Renwick Road in Romeoville. Speakers for the luncheon are: Ragan Freitag, Will County Board member; Mike Fricilone, Will County Board member; Chief Judge Richard Schoenstedt; and Jason Dwyer, Architect, Wight & Co. Program is "Overview of the New Will County Courthouse." Cost to attend is $35 per person for Chamber members ($45 for non-members). Tables of ten are also available for purchase. EDUCATION COMMITTEE ENTREPRENEURSHIP CLUB EXPO

Tuesday, April 26 for the Entrepreneurship Club EXPO at The Sullivan
Recreation Center on the campus of The University of St. Francis, located at 500
Wilcox Street, Joliet, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. You are the most critical part of the EXPO - interaction with "real-life" business men and women!
The Entrepreneurship Club is an innovative
partnership between local businesses and schools for children grades 6-8
to develop an innovative entrepreneurial business concept or provide a
solution to a community problem. The Club is based on a curriculum
titled: Real Life Entrepreneur, where students learn the
fundamentals of small business in a fun, hands-on program. Students will
create a project, which will be a business plan or innovative idea.
These projects will be displayed at the EXPO. Light refreshments will be
served. No cost to attend.
SPRINGFIELD DRIVE DOWN
Chamber is planning their annual Springfield Drive-Down for Tuesday &
Wednesday, May 10-11, 2016. Our drive-down will begin with a luncheon on Tuesday,
followed by a briefing, legislative meetings, reception and dinner. Cost
to attend is $135.00 per person - this includes everything EXCEPT YOUR
HOTEL RESERVATIONS. You are responsible for making your own hotel
reservations. Invitations will be mailed to all members. Please see

NuMark Credit Union is offering a FREE seminar on Tuesday, April 19th called "Build A Basic Budget: the Five-Step Spending Plan". The seminar will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Numark's Crest Hill office, located at 2380 Caton Farm Road. Find out in step-by-step detail how to create a working budget. Each participant will take away a personal action plan, plenty of ideas for how to save money, and a better understanding of how to track where your money goes. Joliet Kiwanis Cliub will host a Trivia Night on Saturday, April 30th at the Joliet Elks Club. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and trivia starts at 6:00. Cost is $20 per person or $160 for a table team of 8 people. The event will feature raffles, prizes and ten rounds of trivia fun - all for a great cause. Event, table and question sponsorships are available and donations for the auction are greatly appreciated.
